Frequently Asked Questions

It's estimated as character count × 6.5px — a rough heuristic, not a true font-rendering measurement, since actual pixel width varies by character (an 'i' is much narrower than a 'W').

The tool flags titles as Optimal when they fall between roughly 285-575px, which corresponds to about 40-65 characters — titles outside this range are marked too short or too long.

No — it only scores the length/width of the title you enter and shows a truncated preview. Editing the wording is up to you.

Because letters have different widths, two titles with the same character count can display very differently in search results — pixel width is a closer (though still approximate) proxy for real truncation risk.
