Net Work Time = (Shift End − Shift Start) − Break Duration, all in minutes, then converted to hours and minutes.
Yes — the break duration you enter is fully subtracted from the shift span. If your break is paid, don't enter it here, since it shouldn't reduce your paid hours.
If net work time exceeds 8 hours (480 minutes), it shows the excess minutes as overtime. It uses the same fixed 8-hour daily threshold as the Overtime Calculator, not any company- or jurisdiction-specific rule.
